The crew endured great privations. The allowanceof food was reduced to two potatoes audancgg-cupfullof water each daily for ten days. For five days they were without food or water. On Saturday the schooner Cora, of Dunedin, gavo them provisions, ond on Sundny the schooner Spray sighted them. Captain Buxton stood by the ketch all night, and towed her into harbor (his morning. The Margaret is not damaged at all. The only loss she sustained was that of her head sail.

At 11 a.m.. May 15, she broke the flukes of her anchor with sixty fathoms of chain down, and dragged towards the rocks. There being too much sea to put a buoy rope over the bows, the anchor was slipped to save the vessel. The storm ]ib was set to cant her head to sea, but it was blown away as soon as it was set. Tho peak of the close reefed uwKwil was then set, and tho ketch just cleared the rocks. She was then run under bare poles till daylight. May 16 At 8 a.m. the wind shifted to the southwurd, and blew a hard gale for three hour*, the vessel reaching Pieton next day.— 'Lyttelton Times.*
