A ROYAL SCANDAL.

A cloud has fallen upon the house of the King of the Belgians. The eldest daughter of Leopold 11, the Princess Louise, was married in February, 1875, at the age of seventeen, to a Prince of her own choice, Philip of Saxe Coburg Gotha, the brother of Augustus of Saxe-Coburg Gotha, who married the eldest daughter of Don Pedro 11. of Brazl. Prince Phflip has just turned thirty and was a most personable Prince. It was a love match, and the King and Queen sf the Belgians were much pleased with it. A year had not elapsed, however, when the bride came suddenly back to the palace of her parents with a sad story of her young husband's manners and morals in domestic life. The matter was hushed up, and the royal family succeeded in effecting a reconciliation. But within the last few weeks the Princess has again left her husband, this time with a resolute determination never again to see him. She has sought a home with the relatives of her mother, an Archduchess of Austria and a daughter of the once-popular Palatine of Hungary, the Archduke Joseph. Prince Philip on his part has gone to Paris, where he drives about in the Bois de Boulogne openly and visits all the public places in company with a celebrated actress, M'lle Galle Marie. To all remonstrances he coolly replies that he behaves no worse than his father inlaw, and that his wife is silly to be more difficult than her Koyal and imperial mother. Fortunately this ill-sorted pair have no children.
