CAVERSHAM RAILWAY STATION.

To the Editor. Sir,— Several letters having appeared in you • paper of late in reference to tho ivmival of the Cavoisham railway station to the Immigration Barracks, I may say 1 quite agree with the facts sot forth by thedifferent writers ; hut I consider these letters have been very much out of place, seeing that Mr Larnach promised tho deputation which waited on him on the lorii of the month regarding the matter, that he, with Mr Blair, would come out and see the two different sites for themselves. Now, sir, having a personal knowledge of Mr Larnach’s acumen, 1 think that, after inspecting the two sites, he is certain to come to the condudon that tho Immigration Barracks is the pnferable site of tho two for the future advancement of Caversham. As to the enction of a nice ci intertable waiting-room with » bar attached, which I heard spoken of last Monday, I do not see much necessity for the first, and as to the latter, I leave our district Good Templars to look after that.— I am, &c., High Ward. Caversham, January 23.
