Tbo s.s. Maori, from West Coa*t ports, arrived yesterday and passed the Port to Dunedin. The schooner Martha Reid, for the Bluff, and ketch Isabella, for Citclin’s River, cleared tho Heads yesterday. The s.s. Waitaki, with cargo and pass, ugers from Oftmnra, arrived on Sa'tirday afternoon. ALtr transhipping wool to the ships Olaki and Calypso, she steamed up to Dunedin. The s.s. Shag arrived on Saturday afternoon and steamed alongside th ship Calypso to tranship fifty six 1 ales of wool.

The schooners Mary Ellen and Pioneer, with full cargoes of grain from Timaiu for transhipment to the ship Marlborough, arrive! yesterday morning. The s.s. Rotorua, from Sydney, via Auet laud and the East Coast, arrived at, 7 am. yes'erday, w th cargo, pnssei gers, and the inward mails from San Francisco, the mails being conveyed to Dunedin by special train at 8 a.m. She left Sydney at 5.30 p.m. on the Kith; had light (astorly weather to anival at Auckland at 2 p.m. on the 21st; left at 330p m. next day, i u 1 reached Napier at 8 a.m. on the 23rd ; left again at noou, and arrived at Wellington at 8 30 a.m ou the 25th; remained there until 2.45 p.m., when she pushed on for Lyttelton, arriving at that port at 645 a.m. on the 26th ; left at 1.15 p.m. same day, arrivhig ns above, having experienced flue weather from Auckland to nirival. The ketch Hnon Belle, which was stranded at Moorakion the IGth inst. and successfully got off by Mr James Grinley, shipwright, of Port Chalmers, arrive 1 at 5. p.m. F.b'ay. Mr Grinley, who proceeded to Moeruki under instructions fmn Captain Ru-soll, surveyor to the Underwaters’ Association, reports getting the vessel clear of the rocks on Saturday afternoon, when, upon examining her bottom, he fund a number cf small holes ami one large aperture, which was sufficient to allow a man to pass through.
