WAIKOUAITI AGRICULTURAL SHOW.

(By our Special Reporter.)

The agricultural show to-day may be classed as one of the best yet held in the district, both as regards the number of entries and the quality of the exhibits, being first-class. The- attendance of. spectators was large, cons : dering the drizzly rain which continued since the morning. In shorthorns Mr J. Duncan carries off the principal honors; and in Aj rehires Messrs Gemmel, Annan, and Cowan are chief prize-takers. The display of horse flesh, draughts and thoroughbreds, was highly creditable. Mr Heckler took all before him in merinos, the exhibits being especially good, as also in Leicester and Lincoinß. There was an excellent display of dairy produce, the awards for which, and for horses, are not yet decided.
