There being a fine breeze from the N.E. she shortly afterwards crossed the bar and sailed up to the anchorage off Deborah Bay, when she proved to be the Margrethe from tbe Mauritius, which was reported by the master of the Marie on hia arrival on the ISth met. She left Port Lonis on October 30 with the usual trade winds which were shy and gave out on November 6 in latitude 86deg. 43mm. S. longitude 61 deg. BOmin. E.; then she bad an N.E. breeze for twenty-four hours; got the passage winds on the Bth of November ; daring her ran across the Southern Ocean she experienced a succession of heavy gales with high sea, oae of which broke on board filling the decks and flooding the cabin, and on one occasion she was hove-to for twelve hours; her first landfall (Stewart’s Island) was made on the 17th fast., and ahe cleared Foveanx Straits at noon next day; had a moderate S.W. breeze until 7 p.m. on the 18th when it died away to a calm; at 10 p.m. she got a light easterly wind which freshened, and brought her up as above. Tbe Uaigrethe. which brings 6,799 pockets of sugar, will discharge at Rattray street wharf.

She sails on Monday for Northern ports.
