A critical memoir of the late Emperor Napoleon 111, to which is added a political poem on the state of society in France in and I§7l| by George Browning, will be issued soon.
Professor Sabatier was a little while ago summarily expelled from Strasbourg for a lecture, “ De I’lnflnence des Femmes sur la litterature Francais.” Curiously enough, the conquerors of Alsace expelled him for a reflection upon German women, which he never uttered, the offending sentence being a mistranslation.
