BISHOP OP DUNEDIN.
To the Editor. Sir, —I was somewhat surprised when I read your answer to the query put to you by your correspondent “ Enquirer,” Who the Bishop of Dunedin is '! You say, ‘•Bishop Moran is, really, equally entitled to be termed Bishop of Dunedin as Bishop .JS'evill, but, being Bishop of the minority, is '(Lpt to- ( be overlooked, excepting when specially i. really think, fcir, that thi 3 ’is a .very lame i-'ejriy ; >or you in truth belie vp if the tales’'Y» ere turned, and that Dr Mfiirap was Bishop of the majority, when referring to him you would give him the title of Bishop of Dunedin ? and again, when speaking of Dr. Ncvill, term him Bishop Nevill ? “ But, being Bishop of the minority, he is apt to be overlooked, excepting when specially mentioned.” A pretty conclusion, forsooth ! Then, since Bishop Moran has had charge of this diocese, have you never once had the occasion to “ specially mention” him? Now, of course, being a Catholic, I can recognise oply one Bishop of Dunedin ; but I wifi venture to-sifgßQSp to you. Jfr Editor, that it would be better taste for ap independent paper to give the title of Bishop of Dunedin to the senior Bishop, X am, &c., Cat homo os.
