RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Tins Day. (Before A. C. Strode, Esq., KM.) Civil Cases. Symms v. Sutcliffe. —Adjourned till Wednesday, 12th January. Brown v. Harvey.—This was a claim for 1-22. Judgment by dcfault for the amount. A. and F. Dunning v. Westwood. —Claim of Ll2 Is IOJ, for goods supplied. Judgment by default. Straclum v. Cowpor.—Claim of L 22. Judgment !>y default. Welhiim v. Hutchison.—This was an action to recover certain tools and plant, belonging to plaintiff, held by defendant. The dcftiicc was, that plaintiff was indebted to defendant, for the payment of which the property claimed was held. Air Bathgate appealed for plaintiff’, and Air Ward for defendant. Air Ward applied for an adjournment, on the ground of the absence of an important witness. Adjourned to Wednesday, 12tli January, 1870.
