RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
This Day. (Before A.C. Strode, Esq., R.M.) Civil Cases. Lange and Thoneman v. Young.—Withdrawn. Samuel BTd v. Reid. Mr Hagdtt for the plaintiff, Mr Ward for the defendant. Adjourned by consent to Friday. Dewar y. Wallis.—A claim for LoO for six months’ rent of a farm. L 44 5s was paid into Court, and a set-off pleaded for the balance. Mr Haggitt for the plaintiff, and Mr Ward for the defendant. The defendant said in explanation of the set-off. that in balancing accounts he had paid the plaintiff L 5 4s too much. This was denied by the plaintiff, who s'ated that all accounts had been adjusted by allowing Lit) off the last half-year’s rent in lieu of building an outhouse. Adjourned to Monday. Lange and Thoneman v. Clark. —The cause of action being at Lawrence the Court had no jurisdiction.
