Hennessy’s brandy ■ is at 26s Gd, and R. W. P. rum at 4s. Prepared opium has been quoted at 255. At the wool sales the biddings have been brisk. Greasy brought Gd to ,Bi-; scoured, 8d to lid; and fleece, Is o|d to Js 4|d. Sydney. Mr Clarke of the Varieties, \vho was charged with the murder of his wife, has been convicted of manslaughter. Sentence was deferred. Mackinlay’s trial for fraud is not yet finished. Mason, who was charged with the murder of a woman jn Brougham Place, lias been convicted of manslaughter. Paterson, the herbalist, has been convicted of procuring abortion, and has been sentenced to seven years’ penal servitude. Adelaide flour is nominally at LIS, but nothing is doing. The wool sales are active, and prices firm, Adelaile. Mr Baker's want of confidence motion has been negatived without a division. The corn market is very quiet. ! Wheat is 5s to 5s 24,
