The Thames'.—The following extract from a letter received by Mr Cassius from Mr Comisky, is published in our Hokitika contemporary -“ The people surely must be mad to keep coming here. I do not know what they are going to do. Nine-tenths of tbe claims on the Thames are not worth a penny. I could name hundreds of claims that Ijayo been formed into companies and th'ir scrip sold at bfg prjcei, that are not worth anything to-day. Unless something turns up soon, there will be lots of peqplq glad to return to Hokitika,
