RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
This Day. (Before James Fulton, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKARDS. David Kcima and James Graut were each fined 20s. —A. Jacobson and Andrew Crystal were fined 20s and 40s respectively.—John Briggs, for being a habitual drunkard, was sent to gaol for one month. MINOR OFFENCES. Robert Bruce, for wilfully breaking a pane of glass, the property of Joseph Haig, was fined 45s and costs. —F. G. Laing was charged with allowing five cattle to wander on the Caversham road. As he had paid the poundkeeper’s fees, which amounted to over L2, the case was dismissed with a caution. — David Nicol, for allowing six cows to wander, Avas fined 2s 6d per head and Braid, for alloaving a nuisance to exist on his premises, was fined 10s and costs. —Marshall and Copeland Avere charged with a similar offence ; but as the nuisance had been abated, the case was dismissed with a caution.
