Wainui arrived in port this morning at 6 a.m, having left Lyttelton at 4 p m. on Tuesday, the 21st; arrived in Akaroa at 10 p,m. the same night; encountered strong S.W. winds from Long Look-out Point, until arriving in Akaroa ; sailed again from Akaroa at 5 p.m. on Wednesday 22m1, arriving in Timaru on the morning of the 23rd at 7 a. in ; left again at 10.30 a.m. same day, arriving at Oamani at 530 p.m ; sailed again at 8 p m, arriving in Port as above. The W ainui had fine weather from Dunedin to Lyttelton, and very smooth sea; from Lyttelton strong S. W. winds and heavy sea. She sails for Northern ports again on Monday first.
