Underwood, left Hobson’s Bay at 4 p.m. on the 14tb inst. ; passed the Heads at 7 p.m. ; experienced fine weather throughout the voyage ; passed the Solanders at 8 a.m. on the l!)th, and entered Bluff Harbor at 2 p.m. the same day. She brings 202 tons cargo and 90 passengers, including G4 Chinese. She sails for Dunedin tomorrow afternoon. Passengers for Dunedin Messrs Bennett, M‘Gowd, Brown, and 85 in the steerage. Melbourne, Sept. 14. Mr George Rolfe is a candidate for the seat in the Legislative Council rendered vacant by Mr Fawkners death. The libel case, Jordan (proprietor of the Anatomical Museum) v. the Age, has been dismissed. Father Niall has been committed for trial for an unnatural offence. Mr M'Culloch has recovered his health. The four-pound loaf now sells at Bd. The racehorse Glencoe has been sold to Mr Bailey, of Ballarat, for LI 000. Kinneally, the pardoned Fenian, sailed for Adelaide in the Claud Hamilton. The authorities there would not allow him to come ashore. A strong Fenian sympathy exists there. Brcadstuffs firm. Flour, LI 6 10s to LIT.
Mr Fawkner’s funeral was numerously attended. Business was suspended. Parliament has adjourned. Sydney, Sept. 13. The Metropolitan Stakes were won by Circassian. Californian newspapers of July 13 report the breadstuff's market firm. Earl Belmore is visiting Brisbane.
