Scenes in the Victorian Parliament. —The Aye of Ist inst. says ; ne or two scenes in the Assembly l ist night were as scandal us as have ever disgraced a Legislature. Not only was the business suspended for hours, when inc isures of the gravest importance demanded prompt at tentiou, hut the interruptions were of so wanton and inexcusable a char c f er, that several honor hie members left the House in disgust, and the spectators in the galleries openly expressed their contempt for a body which could permit its proceedings to be tarnished by conduct so disreputable. Far more in sorrow than in ang' r do we say this of the Chamber upon which the hopes of the community are set, but matters have now arrived at such a pass that there must be an immediate cheek, or the Assembly should be dissolved before it descends to a still lower deep. True, there arc only a few members really responsible for this disc race, but strangers will not to easily distinguish between them and the A-scmbly itself ; and in the meantime the business of the country is rendered impossible.”
