PROPOSED Bye-Law No. V., underfthe Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, published for general information under the provisions of Section 189 of said Act, pro* paratory to its being subsequently considered by the City Council _ Bye-Law of the Council of the City of Dunedin, made under Section 186 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1867 —a Bye-Law to provide for the compulsory cleaning of certain footpaths within the City of Dunedin. In pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in Section 186, part 13, of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Conn* cil of the City of Dunedin ordain as follows —that is to say—• “Any person guilty of the following offence within the City of Dunedin shall, on being convicted of any such offence, be liable to pay any penalty not exceeding (L 5) five pounds. “ Any owner or tenant of any land or E remises, in front of which the footpath has een asphalted or otherwise paved, who omits daily io clean before 8 o’clock a.m., and to keep clean, so much of the footpath as is opposite to and in front of any such nremises.” J. TENDERS will be received at the Town Clerk’s Office, Princes street, on or before Wedsesday, sth July, at 3 p.m., for the following Works, separately:— Ist. For constructing and laying timber drain (about 300 feet in length) at Pitt street. 2nd. For the supply of the following forage, viz.—2oo tusliels oats, 1 ton. chaff, half ton bran, and 2 tons hay, in one lot. Specifications may be inspected at the City Surveyor’s Office.
