“ Evening Star” Office, 4.80 pm. ' The total amount of revenue collected at the Cus'lems to-day was £822 11s Cd.

By the Orita we (Southern Cross) have Valparaiso papers to the 2nd of September. The Mercurio price current of that date gives the following : Wheat and Flour. —The demand during this fortnight has been but limited. We have had several arrivals from Australia, but only one of these came for a cargo, the Francis Henty, and she has been despatched with wheat and flour, the grbater part of which was purchased previously ; two vessels, however, have been taken up for the colonies, the Orita, which loads 6,000 to 8,000 qqs wheat and flour, for Auckland, purchased, the wheat at 2 dols 68c, and the flour at 5 dols, free on board in Consticion; and the Medora, to load in the bay, for Port Nelson, about 13,000 qqs wheat and flour. The wheat has been purchased at from 2 dols 18|c to 2dols 874 c, on board the coasters, and flour, southern brands, at sdols to sdols 25c ; the Chepica has also been despatched to Tome to load a cargo, for Australia it is supposed. Amongst other sales of minor import we note one of 5,000 qqs Southern at sdols 25c, and 1,000 qqs of a favorite Santiago brand in 501b bags at 6dols ; the present quotations are Sdols to sdols 25c for Southern, and Sdols 50c to sdols 76c for Santiago, and for wheat 2dols 75c to Sdols 874 c in stout bags here, and in Tome 2dols 264 c to 2dols 75c, bulk in bodega. Barley. —There has been very little demand, and the price is not so firm as it was ; there have been some few sales at from 2 dols 374 c to 2dols 431 c on board the coasters, and from 2dols 43fc to 2dols 50c in bodega. We also note a sale of 4,000 fanegas to be laden in Pichidangue per “ Eiche,” and delivered in Iquique at2lArs : we quote it here to-day at from 2dols 37Ac to 2dols 50c according to quality.
