Wakatip. —We recorded in our last issue an accident to two miners. We regret to say one of them has terminated fatally. Mr Maloney, who was removed to the Hospital on Mon lay afternoon, died shortly after ids admission. The deceased has left a wife and family in but indifferent circumstances. The accident it may be remembered, arose through a landslip carrying Maloney down some 200 feet ido the river. He was much bruised, and his immersion in the river, with tl e sudden shock received, brought on inflammation of the lungs, which was the cause of death. . An inquest was held yesterday before Richmond Beethaip, Esq., when a verdict to the above efleot was recorded. — Mail, Kov. X&.
