CHAMPION BABY
A hundred and twenty ■babies were entered for the.7.b2by."show at the Brooklyn Fair on Saturday, and according to Sister C. F. Leaman, who judged the entrants, their general health and physique was excellent. Promoters of the contest were the Brooklyn and Northland branches of the R.S.A., whose carnival is being held at Central Park through the holiday season.
Prize-winners were as follows:—One to three months, John Chandler,, 1; Glennys McDonald, 2; Ray Henderson. 3. Three to nine months: Paul McNab. 1; Bryan Yuile, 2; PauJ Romanos. 3. Nine to 12 months: Kay Bayley 1; lan Smith, 2; Marlene Rose. 3. Twelve months to two years: Garry Kershaw, 1; Baby Phillips, 2; Baby MoConkey. ';j. Babies up to 12 months were judged by Matron Burdette of Alexandra Home.
'Professor J. N. Findlay, .formerly of the University of Otago, after spending a year as professor of philosophy at Rhodes University College, Gratoamstown.
