LONDON, Dec. 19

Rec. 11.30 a.m,

The Government has decided to prohibit the export to Spain not only of arms, but also of goods of a semi-

military character which might strengthen the Spanish armed forces, said Mr. P. J. Noel-Baker, Minister of State, in the House of Commons. He added that no armaments or warlike, stores had been supplied from Britain to Spain since the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War.
