LONDON CONFERENCE
N.Z. DELEGATION
Ihe official delegates uf the "New Zealand nrimary producers to the conference of British Empire and United States farming interests to be held in London next May, were announced today. They arc: Mr. B. V. Cooksley, representing the Farmers' Federation and the market gardening industry; Messrs. W. W. Mulholland and K. J. flolyoake. M.P.. representing the New /■OPl'ind Farmers' Union; Mr. G. H.
Crv'.P.. r!-r'rman of the Meat Board :v.t\ president of the Sheepowners' Fed'-ration. who will represent Ihe meat industry; Mr. W. E. Hale, chairman of the Dairy Board, representing the dairy industry: and Mr. A. Congdon, Auckland director of the Fruitgrowers' Federation, who will represent the fruit industry.
The conference, which will be under the presidency of Mr. J. Turner, president of the National Farmers' Union of England and Wales, who was in New Zealand last year, will formulate plan? for an international primary producers' federation. It had previously beer: arranged to send a considerable number of delegates from New Zealand, and tentative a nnnin (merits of about 12 mfml)?r? had been made. Since then, however, ai: Ihr- request of the National Farmer';' Union Ihe delegation has been reduced tn the six members named above. They will be assisted by certain technical advisers, whose appointments will shortly be made.
