NURSES' ASSOCIATION

The Wellington branch of the New Zealand T^gistered Nurses' Association held its annual meeting in the E.S U rooms last week. There was a large attendance of "members, and Miss Woodhead presided. The council officers for next year were elected as follows:—President, Miss J. C. Woodhead; vice-presidents. Miss M. F. Barnett and Miss X G. Haussmann; members, Mrs E Boyle, Misses Barrett, F J. Cameron, Hamilton, H. McCombie K. M. Prosser, F. E. Symes, D. L. Waldie, C. Doherty, and Mrs. D. M. G Gillespie The speaker for the evening was Dr. Kennedy Elliott, who gave an interesting address on his experiences overseas. Miss Woodhead spoke of the loss sustained by the association in Wellington through the transfer to Tauranga ol Miss S. R. Mackenzie, the former president. She also made mention of the conference which was being held during the year, after an interval of four years. The annual report and balance-sheet were presented by Miss Tocker.
