Lawrence James Nacy, baker and cook, 44, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court today to a charge" of theft of a pair of lady's stockings, which it. was stated he was seen takintf from a counter in Selfridge's (N.Z.). Ltd Cuba Street, about 8.15 p.m. yesterday. After commenting on the length of the accused's list of convictions Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., sentenced him to a month's imprisonment with hard labour.
