UMBERTO NEGOTIATES

LONDON, November 25,

Crown Prince Umberto, the Lord Lieutenant of the Realm, is holding critical conversations today with his Ministers in Rome, following the resignation of the Prime Minister, Mr. Parri.

Mr. Parri decided to , resign when the Christian Democrats, by a vote of 56 to one, refused to continue the present. Coalition Government without the Liberals, who withdrew from the Government last Thursday, says Reuters correspondent. Leaders of the six Italian parties of the retiring Government had interviews with Prince Umberto today. The first to see him was the President of the Consultative Assembly, Count Sforza, and then came the secretaries of the six parties which make up the Committee of National Liberation. A special plane is going to Palermo to fetch Signqr Orlandi, who was Italian Prime Minister at the end of the first World War.
