ALTERED SECTIONS
NORTHLAND AND KARORI BUSES
The tramways committee of the City Council reported last night that further negotiations had taken place with the Kelburn and Karori Tramway Company regarding the running of Northland and Karori buses, but no satisfactory arrangement had been arrived at. It was therefore recommended that the bus service run by the corporation should be continued in terms of the judgment' of the Supreme Court by having two sections, one from the city to Birdwood Street, and the second from Birdwood Street to Kano Street, on the Karori route; and by having one section from the city to Moana Road, and a second section from Moana Road to the Northland bus terminus, on the Northland route.
The fares outward on both routes will be: —First section, cash sd, concession 4_d; second section, cash 3d, concession 2_d; two sections, cash 6d. concession s_d. Inwards the fares will .he: —First section, cash 3d, concession 2_d; second section, cash sd, concession 4_d; two sections, cash 6d. concession s_d.
The Wellington Metropolitan Licensing Authority is to be requested to fix the rates for school children using these services.
