WORLD GOVERNMENT
EINSTEIN'S SUGGESTION
Rec. 1 p.m. NEW YORK, October 30.
Atom bombs could kill perhaps twothirds of the people of the earth, but there would be enough thinking men and women left to start things again, said Professor Einstein in an interview in the "Atlantic Monthly." He recommended that a world government ! should be established by Britain, America, and Russia to reduce the peril of atomic power in war. If such a government were not set up by agreement, he said, it would come in a much I more dangerous, form with a war of wars, ending with one Power dominating the world. "I do not believe the secret should be given to the United Nations organisation, or to Russia," he said, "but should be committed to a iworld government, and the United States should immediately announce its readiness to give it to such a government."
