READY FOR SHIPMENT

RUBBER IN MALAYA

LONDON, October 29,

The rubber inspection committee, reporting on its first findings in Malaya, states that conditions are not over-bad, says the Singapore correspondent of the Associated Press. The committee recommends the immediate dispatch of as many planters as possible to get the estates into production.

One syndicate has 35,000 tons of processed rubber awaiting shipment. Another has 15,000 tons, which is held by the Chinese and is expected to be brought forward. Buyers hope to ship 10,000 tons a month, which will be the output.of the small holders only, in the next few months.
