ALLOWANCES INCREASED

The Minister of Supply and Munitions (Mr. Sullivan) announces that in conformity with the recent increases in the private motorists' petrol allowance, it has been decided to grant the following fuel allowances (gallons a month in each case) for pleasure craft during the season commencing November 1:— Launches and auxiliary yachts, waterline length of up to and including 25ft, 8; over 25ft and including 30 ft, 16; over 30ft and including 35ft, 24; over 35ft and including 40ft, 32; over 40ft, 40. ■ * • . Boats using outboard motors, up to and including 5 h.p., 4; over 5 h.p., 8. As in the case of petrol coupons, the November-December and the JanuaryFebruary allowances may be drawn at any time within the respective two months by owners of pleasure craft. The March and April allowances are similarly grouped as was the case last year. ' *
