THE TURKISH CENSUS
Rec. 11 a.m. ANKARA, October 28. The census shows that the population of Turkey is 18,871.203, which.is an increase of 1,050,253 since 1940. Istanbul has nearly 850,000 inhabitants, and Ankara 220,000.
