Her Excellency Lady Newall, accompanied by Miss N. Walton, left Wellington for Hastings this morning. Her Excellency will* return to Wellington on Wednesday.

Sir Patrick Duff, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, accompanied by Lady Duff, will leave Wellington this evening for Christchurch, where he will address the annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand tomorrow. They will return to Wellington on Wednesday.
