Backers had to accept some setbacks at the Ohinemuri Meeting on the Paeroa course today, only two favourites winning. Both Betterman, winner of the Poland Cup, and Representative, who took the sprint honours, were at long odds. The weather was fine, but the course was heavy. There was a large attendance, and the totalisator handled £65,887 10s, compared with £ 60,764 last year, an increase of £5123 10s. Results were: —
