WASHINGTON-TO NEAR EAST
LONDON, September 10. An air service from the United States to Europe and the Near East, which will be inaugurated shortly, will by-pass Britain. ■ ' General T. B. Wilson, head of TransContinental Airlines, announced in Dublin that the airline route would be Washington, Newfoundland, Foynes, Paris. Rome, Greece, Palestine, Irak, and Saudi Arabia. He said that the rates would be reduced to compete with shipping. Negotiations would be opened soon for Irish Airways, Limited, to operate a shuttle service between Foynes and a British airport.
