TRIBUTE TO N.Z. PIANIST

Rec. 9 a.m. LONDON, September 11. High praise for Colin Horsley, of Wanganui, who is making a name for himself as a pianist, was given by L. A. G. Strong in his radio .notes published by the "Daily Sketch." Mr. Strong said: "Until the other evening I had never heard Colin Horsley play. I shall take every chance of hearing him in future. Judged on his performance of the Rachmaninoff Concerto he is a pianist of the first rank. He has all the solid and all the delicate qualities, and above all, he is a musician—which scores of nimblefingered virtuosi are not and never will be."
