SYDNEY, September U

The Epsom candidate High Play, who arrived from New Zealand last week, impressed trackmen at Randwick today. Ridden by L. Hare, he was half a length in front of his stablemate Immediate after five furlongs in 1.5. Both 'Immediate and High Play are fit horses. 'High Play has 8.12 in the Epsom and is topweight with 10.10 for [the Highweight Handicap at Rosehill on Saturday. Immediate is being prepared for the Metropolitan Handicap, and has been coupled extensively in doubles with Epsom favourites.
