A trip to England in wartime was the subject of a talk given by Mr. Fox at the last monthly meeting of the Johnsonville Women's Institute. Mrs. Barnes presided. Competitions were won by Mrs.- Hibbert and Mrs. Halliwell. W.C.T.U. Monthly Meeting. It was announced at a recent meeting of the central branch of the W.C.T.U. that the districts had offered to help provide a Sunday tea at the British Sailors' Society. Members were asked for contributions for the annual gift to the New Plymouth and Timar'u W.C.T.U, Sailors' Rest, and Mrs. Brigadier Smith gave an interesting talk on life in Korea. W.E.A. CLASSES. W.E.A. play-readers will give ;i rehearsed. reading of "She Stoops to Conquer" next Saturday, in the "Evening Post" Building.
