BRITISH EXPERT'S VISIT

One of the world's leading authorities on wool research, Dr. B. H. Wilsdon, director of the Wool Industries : Research Association, arrived m Wellington by air from Dunedin today. Dr. Wilsdon's association is more widely known by the name of Tirridon With other experts he has been visiting Australia at the request of the Commonwealth Government to acquaint himself with the position oi the wool industry there, and to advise on research matters. His visit to the Dominion is at the request of the Government, witn the same objects. Dr. Wilsdon arrived at Auckland from Australia, visited the Ruakura State Farm and Masscy Agricultural College and then Hew to the South Island where he visited Lincoln College. This afternoon he is addressing the New Zealand Wool Board. Tomorrow ho will interview the Minister in Charge of '.he Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (Mr. Sullivan) and the Minister of Agriculture (Mr. Roberts). Dr Wilsdon will leave for Hawke» Bay,"accompanied by Dr. Marsden, sec rctarv of the Department of Scientific and industrial Research, and the chairman of the Wool Council (Mr. Jamieson) on Friday, and will inspect Romney hocks en route. He will return to Auckland, and leave from there by air for England by way of the United i States.
