N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS
In the men's singles of the Xew Zealand, table tennis championships, commenced at the Boys' Institute on M.onday night, there were many closely-contested matches. Representatives from .various parts of Xew Zealand showed a high standard of performance, and those to go through to the semi-finals included the present champion, R. A. Algie, of Otago./ Local representatives to reach the quarter-finals were 15. Hughes and H, Chapman (Hutt Valley) and K. Boniface (Wellington), but all three were then beaten \by visiting players. The singles title for boys under 10 was won by T. S. Williams (Wellington), and in the open .singlus for boys J. ,1. Borough (Canterbury) und K. .Carlton (Hutt Valley) qualified for 1.110 final, Hurough also winning his matches In the men's .singles.
