Clarrie Rayner < was knocked out by Bos Murphy In the second round of a ten-round professional boxing contest at Napier tonight. Tliq bout opened briskly, with Rayner taking the fight to his opponent, but Murphy clearly established his superiority towards the end of the first round. Shortly after the beginning of the second round Rayner went down, but he rallied, only to be floored for the count from a hard left hook.
The attendance was the largest at a boxing niatcli in Napier for several years.
