Now on view at the New Zealand Academy's temporary gallery in thq D.I.C. Building is a collection of Japanese and Chinese curios, the majority hand-carved ivory. The collection, about 65 pieces, was formerly owned by the late Mr. W. Wallis, of Johnsonville, and was bequeathed by him to the Dominion Museum.
