A DRAWN GAME

Champion club teams of Wellington and Marlborough drew 11-all in a curtain-raiser to the main match at Athletic Park on Saturday. Opawa, the visiting team, scored all its points in the first half —tries by Barron and Hislop and a penalty goal and a conversion by Welsh, to no points by Athletic. With the wind behind them in the second half Athletic drew level, and just failed to win. For the home side tries were scored, by Luoni, Stott, and Kershaw, Halvorsen converting one.
