ANNUAL ROAD RACE
P.A. HASTINGS.. This Day. W. J. Carr (Wanganui) won the annual 13-mile Napier-Hastings road race staged by the Hastings Harrier Club oa 1 Saturday. L. Green (Napier) was second. Both were on the 14-minute mark. Runners from Wanganui, Wellington, Napier, and Hastings completed. The time was 93 minutes 16 seconds. H. Hopper (Wanganui) made the fastest time. A junior event of 6£ miles was won by W. Junk (Hastings) ! off the nine-minute mark. T. KensIman (Hastings) was second. The record-holder of the big event. T. Bartlett (Wellington Scottish), finished well back.
