USE OF ATOMIC ENERGY
WASHINGTON. September 7. Px'esident Truman told Congress that he would be making recommendations later regarding America's atom bomb and atomic energy policy.
Senator Vandenbetg moved in the Senate to set up a joint committee of six Senators and six Representatives to investigate fully the development and control of the atom bomb.
Santor McMahon (Democrat) introduced a Bill providing that the use of atomic energy be controlled by the Federal Government with private exploitation banned.
