The transfer to UNRRA of 150,000,----000 dollars' worth of surplus war stocks in the European and Mediterranean theatres is beginning immediately to relieve the populations of Albania, Czechoslovakia. Yugoslavia, Greece, and Poland before the cold weather sets in, said Major-General D. H. Connally. United States deputy army and navy liquidation commissionei*, who is heading a special group of army UNRRA officials which has arrived at Paris to speed up supplies to UNRRA.
