GREEK MUTINEERS
CLAMOUR FOR RELEASE
ATHENS, September 6. The police dispersed a crowd of 4000 wives and families of Greek soldiers and sailors still held in prison camps in North Africa for participating in the mutiny by the Greek forces in Egypt in April, 1944. The Papandreou' Government pardoned the men under an amnesty last November, but the men have not returned and their families are without support. The Government, replying to the demonstrators' protest, said the matter concerned the British.
