RELEASE OF PRIONERS IN JAPAN
YOKOHAMA, September 6,
The liberation of Allied prisoners in the Japanese home islands is virtually one-fourth completed, General Eichelberger's headquarters announced. In addition 3000 British, Americans, Australiansi and Dutch have been brought from prison camps, making the total released from the home islands about 8000.
