STAR BOATING CLUB
At the 79th annual meeting of the Star Boating Club recently, the president, Mr. A. D. Bayfeild, referred to the adverse conditions under which the club had operated during the war years. He hoped that with the return of members from overseas the club would once again take up its position as one of the foremost rowing clubs in the country.
Officers were elected as follows:— President, Mr. A. D. Bayfeild; vicepresident, Mr. R. L. Evatt; captain, Mr. J. S. Cowles; vice-captain, Mr. W. K. Stone; secretary, Mr. G. T. Cornick; treasurer, Mr J. Barr; general committee, Messrs. R. W. Allum, H. G. Sevan, W. Hillock, A. G. Little, K. E. May, and E. G. Webb; match committee, Messrs. R. W. Allum, J. S. Cowles, and E. G. Webb; club race committee, Messrs. K. G. Moore, W Hillock, and A. C. Stone; trustees, Messrs. A. D. Bayfeild, W. H. Denton, and W. S. Wheeler; hon. auditors, Messrs. S. B. Clarke and F. H. Mullins.
