LUNCH-HOUR MUSIC.
Tho programme for lunch-hour music tomorrow will include a. viola sonata in B Minor by ■Hnndel (played by Mr. W. Mac Lean and Miss Ormi Reid), two groups of Russian songs (sung by Mrs. Dorothy Kemp). and piano pieces liy Bach, Chopin, and Medtner (played by Miss Kate Jourdain). The recital will begin as usual at 12.30 p.m. in tho Library Lecture Hall. «_____________»■ A woman formerly employed as a cleaner by Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd., Wellington, was charged in the Magistrate's Court yesterday with theft from her employers, between December 15, 1944, and August 22, 1945, of slippers, sandals, shoes, material, and frocks, of a total value of £65 14s 9d. She was Eileen c Andrews, cleaner, 38, and after the hearing of evidence for the police she pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., was on the Bench, and Detective-Sergeant E. H. Compton conducted the case for the police. -
