INCIDENTS CAUSE PROTEST Rec. 11 a.m. BRUSSELS, Aug. 29

Federal political leaders of Verviers. a Belgian frontier town, have protested to the Premier against the scandal caused by American soldiers driving into Verviers and shopping with German girls, and also buying large quantities of butter to take back to Germany. "Le Soir" said that such incidents had infuriated the former inmates of German torture camps. At a victory ball at Verviers Belgian women had refused to dance, with Americans accompanying German girls.
