Officers and men of the Royal Navy operating off the Japanese coast get letters from home in 10 days. This is quicker than when they were at their bases, says the "Daily Telegraph."
The quickest air mails to the other fleet centres are: Alexandria, five days; Colombo, eight days; Sydney, 14 days.
